When you visit your regular hair dressing salon do you feel like a number not a name? I was recently sorting out my daughters fifth birthday party and was really amazed at how much there was to organise. Previously, I just used to sort out the party and let her know what was happening but suddenly, now she is about to be five, she wants to have a say in all of the proceedings. For example, I was organising the party bags when she declared she wanted all of her guests to have some childrens` jewellery as part of the contents of the bag. I tried to explain to her that childrens` jewellery was not really the most appropriate thing to be puttiing into a party bag but she would hear none of it. I was at my wits` end for a while and then wondered to myself what the point of arguing with her was. I was not going to achieve much and she would be unhappy about her party. I said to her therefore that she was allowed to put one piece of Childrens Jewellery   in each party bag and that was it. Thankfully this appeased her and, I must admit, we got some that was really reasonable yet looked really good. Everybody was happy in the end. I just hope the party goes that well!
