My friends and I were recently having a conversation about jewellery and we were weighing up the benefits of costume jewellery versus Diamond Jewellery to decide which we thought was the best. After discussing the pros and cons of Diamond Jewellery for a few minutes, one of my friends burst out laughing and asked how we could honestly sit and debate whether costume jewellery was better than Diamond Jewellery. As she said, who in their righht mind, when offered some diamonds as a present would turn round and say they prefer costume jewellery instead. Of course, when we all got to thinking about it in this light we totally agreed with her but, as one of my friends said, if we were buying the jewellery ourselves then it would be a totally different story. This is where the benefit of costume jewellery comes in. we could buy some fake diamonds for next to no money and they would still look fantastic with the right outfit but instead of costing the earth, they would leave us with lots of money to spare to spend on other things instead. We decided that if we were paying then costume jewellery won but if someone was buying for us then diamonds would win every time.
